We’re currently seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our Digital Society team, which focuses on delivering cutting-edge ICT solutions for both public and private sectors. This fast-growing team of almost 250 experts works on impactful projects for local and international clients, outside the telecom domain.
Location: Zagreb
What you’ll be doing:
- Administering, configuring, and maintaining Oracle multitenant and pluggable databases (19c or newer)
- Implementing and maintaining Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and other high-availability solutions
- Configuring and managing Oracle Enterprise Manager for full infrastructure oversight
- Monitoring database performance, availability, and security
- Optimizing queries and improving overall database efficiency
- Managing backup and restore processes using RMAN
- Ensuring high availability and data security
- Applying patches, performing upgrades, and managing database migrations
- Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshooting incidents and providing technical support related to databases
We are looking for:
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, backup/restore, monitoring, and high availability (RAC)
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL
- Deep understanding of database architecture and design
- Solid experience in data modeling and database architecture design
- Good knowledge of performance optimization concepts, including query and transaction tuning
- Familiarity with Oracle replication concepts, including design and development
- Very good to excellent knowledge of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
- Experience with scripting in Bash, Shell, or Ansible
- Experience with Linux and/or AIX operating systems
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- An open mindset with a willingness to experiment, take risks, and learn from failure
- A collaborative spirit and eagerness to share knowledge and support the growth of others
Would be considered a plus:
- Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Familiarity with Informix database
- Hands-on experience with EnterpriseDB PostgreSQL
- Experience working with Greenplum database
- Oracle certificates
