We are seeking a Compliance Specialist with proven competence, experience, and interest in a broad range of compliance topics relevant to international business operations and the technology solutions industry.
Compliance operates within the wider Legal Affairs and Compliance unit, ensuring that the business meets legal and regulatory requirements and upholds high ethical standards. The team embeds compliance into decision-making, processes, and daily operations.
In this role, you will support business activities by providing guidance on ethical standards, anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, third‑party and business partner risk management, compliance awareness, and speak‑up culture. You will also assist in handling reported compliance concerns. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across the Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group to ensure compliance controls are effectively implemented, monitored, and continuously improved, and that compliance risks are properly identified, assessed, and mitigated.
Location: Zagreb
What you’ll be doing:
- Advising on compliance matters and supporting daily compliance operations, including anti‑corruption, ethical standards, third‑party risk management, and handling reported concerns.
- Preparing, maintaining, and managing compliance policies, procedures, and documentation, while ensuring a reliable audit trail.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to ensure alignment with compliance standards and to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
- Promoting compliance awareness through onboarding materials, training, presentations, and internal communications, ensuring that teams understand their responsibilities.
- Tracking relevant legislative and regulatory developments (EU, national, and other levels) and proactively reporting on their impact.
- Supporting investigations of reported compliance concerns in accordance with internal rules and coordinating external counsel when needed.
- Assisting with compliance monitoring activities, tracking remediation actions, and contributing to continuous improvement of legal processes and templates.
- Supporting third‑party compliance processes, including due diligence, contractual compliance clauses, and business partner risk management.
We are looking for:
- A university degree in law (preferred) or another relevant field
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in Croatian and English
- A high level of ethical standards
- Knowledge of compliance‑related regulations
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent research, documentation drafting, and communication skills
- Solution‑oriented and collaborative approach
Would be considered a plus:
- Experience in compliance roles within large or international organizations
- Professional compliance certifications
