Željko Antolić, Director of People and Culture at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, participated in the 10th Lider HR Conference, held in Zagreb. The panel discussion How to Develop and Retain People at a Time When Jobs Are Changing focused on the challenges of attracting, developing and retaining employees amid rapid technological changes and on the role of leaders in creating a supportive and sustainable work environment.

The panel participants agreed that today, in addition to competitive working conditions, employees expect clear opportunities for professional development, the opportunity to contribute to the organization and to work on challenging projects that have a real impact.

Speaking about employee development, Antolić said that development should not be viewed exclusively through education and formal professional development programs. He particularly emphasized the importance of involving employees in the development of new technologies and innovations. As an example, he cited the recent Innovation Challenge, which enabled employees to play an active role in creating new solutions and business ideas.

By participating in the conference, Ericsson Nikola Tesla once again reaffirmed its commitment to creating a supportive work environment, continuous learning and the development of employees’ knowledge and competencies as key prerequisites for long-term success.
