May 6, 2026
Appearing on the TV programme “ONE ON ONE”, hosted by Romano Bolković, Siniša Krajnović, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, spoke about his international career and the reasons why, after his vast experience in global organizations such as Ericsson and McKinsey, he decided to assume leadership of the company in Croatia.
He reflected on the personal and professional motivations behind this career shift, as well as on his broader assessment of the potential of the Croatian and regional markets within the context of the global technology industry. The conversation also highlighted his professional journey, which began at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, and the ways in which the company has evolved over the decades.
Further topics included the initial strategic priorities at the start of his mandate as President of the Management Board and the role of leadership in a technology company today, an era that demands both a clear technological vision and strong management of business resilience. Special emphasis was placed on people as the foundation of business success: their expertise and knowledge, reflected in the company’s projects and results.
In the final part of the programme, the discussion turned to the future: the growth drivers of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, ranging from 5G and 6G technologies and artificial intelligence to the digitalization of the public sector and the strengthening of international partnerships. The interview also addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on engineering work and the labor market, differences in work cultures between Sweden, Japan and Croatia, and Europe’s position in the global AI race.
The programme concluded with reflections on whether Croatia can capitalize on technological shifts and how companies such as Ericsson Nikola Tesla can contribute to strengthening digital resilience and the long-term competitiveness of the economy.
