Siniša Krajnović Featured on HRT’s Otvoreno Discussing Artificial Intelligence

Siniša Krajnović, PhD, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, appeared as a guest on Otvoreno, Croatian Radiotelevision’s (HRT) current affairs programme, in an episode dedicated to the impact of artificial intelligence on society and the economy. The programme also featured Prof. Stjepan Picek, PhD, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, and cybersecurity expert Alen Delić. The discussion was moderated by Zrinka Grancarić. The programme explored the extent to which artificial intelligence has already transformed our environment, whether society is prepared for future technological changes and the key societal challenges arising from its rapid development.

Siniša Krajnović emphasized that artificial intelligence is one of the most important technologies of our time, with the potential to significantly enhance both economic performance and societal development. Addressing the challenges and risks associated with AI, he stressed the importance of establishing a regulatory framework that simultaneously fosters rapid innovation while ensuring the responsible deployment of technology. He noted that, particularly in critical and sensitive decision-making processes, ultimate accountability must always remain with people.

Artificial intelligence is already transforming software development and business processes at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, creating opportunities for greater productivity, new services and accelerated innovation. “In cooperation with partners from industry, academia and the public sector, Ericsson Nikola Tesla will continue to develop secure and resilient digital infrastructure and advanced digital solutions, creating the foundations for further digital transformation, economic growth and long-term competitiveness of Croatia,” emphasized Krajnović and stated that Europe must invest more decisively in research, development and advanced technologies in order to strengthen its competitiveness in the global technology race.
