Siniša Krajnović elected President of Croatian Exporters

The 32nd General Assembly of Croatian Exporters (HIZ) was held in Zagreb on 21 September 2026 as an electoral assembly, during which the association's members elected the new governing bodies of HIZ for the 2026–2030 term.

Siniša Krajnović, PhD, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d., was elected President of Croatian Exporters. He succeeds Davor Baković, President of the Management Board of Končar – Instrument Transformers.

Dorotea Effenberger, Director of Tahograf d.o.o., was elected Deputy President, while the Vice Presidents elected were Hrvoje Čuvalo from the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), Dino Ćoza Saršon from JGL, Aleksandra Hadun Homar from Podravka, Katija Klepo from AD Plastik, Vjekoslav Majetić from Rheinmetall Unmanned Vehicles, Domagoj Matasić from E.G.O. Elektro-komponente and Alojzije Šestan from Šestan & Busch.

Nineteen members were elected to the HIZ Management Board: Marko Badurina (HPB bank), Vedran Bilas (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb), Vanja Burul (Končar D&ST), Marko Ćosić (Đuro Đaković Group), Nikolina Dizdar Čehulić (Pliva Croatia), Ivica Grlić Radman (Agroproteinka), Marko Jurman (Filix), Andrija Lalić (Apipharma), Željko Lisičak (Metal-Elektro), Mario Milat (Radež), Ivan Mišetić (Atlantic Cedevita), Mario Petričević (Scott Bader), Ivan Prtorić (PIK Vrbovec plus), Ana Soldo (DS Smith Belišće Croatia), Stjepan Šafran (Metal Product), Matija Šešok (ELKA), Slavko Vidović (Infodom), Zvonimir Viduka (Altpro) and Tvrtko Zlopaša (Dalekovod).

The newly elected President of HIZ, Siniša Krajnović, emphasized that he views his election to lead the association as a great honor, but also a responsibility toward a community that has been promoting the interests of Croatian exporters and contributing to strengthening their international competitiveness for more than two decades.

“I would like to thank the members of Croatian Exporters for their trust. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Davor Baković for his dedicated leadership and significant contribution to the development of the association. Under his leadership, Croatian Exporters continued to strongly advocate the interests of Croatian exporters while reinforcing its important role in Croatia’s economic life.

Croatia needs strong exporters because they are the ones who create new value, open the door to global markets, drive innovation and contribute to the resilience of the Croatian economy. We will continue to be a reliable partner in shaping an environment that encourages growth, investment and the success of Croatian companies worldwide,” said Krajnović.

Croatian Exporters is a non-profit, non-partisan and non-governmental association serving as the representative body of companies and organizations that jointly promote and advocate the interests of Croatian exports. The association was established in 2004 at the initiative of Croatian business leaders with the objective of strengthening export competitiveness and creating a supportive environment for the international business activities of Croatian companies.
