Siniša Krajnović at the Investments Forum: Digital transformation and leadership in times of uncertainty

April 23, 2026

This year’s INVESTMENTS FORUM once again brought together leading executives, investors and experts from the business and investment community. Among the conference participants was Siniša Krajnović, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, who took part as a panelist in the discussion Digital Transformation and Leadership, alongside Gordan Kolak, President of the Management Board of Končar, Adrian Ježina, President of the Management Board of Telemach, and Balázs Békeffy, President of the Management Board of OTP Bank. The panel was moderated by Tomislav Jelinčić, editor and host at RTL.

The discussion highlighted that the role of leaders has changed significantly: today, beyond technological understanding, the ability to navigate uncertainty with clear direction and strong values is essential.

In this context, Siniša Krajnović emphasized the importance of authentic leadership, trust and transparency, as well as empowering teams in an environment shaped by rapid technological, geopolitical and regulatory shifts. He noted that leadership is not about control, but about responsibility: setting the strategic direction and organizational culture, standing behind one’s team and delegating authority and accountability to the lowest operational levels to enable fast and effective action. “Only in such an environment can people grow, take initiative and realize their full potential,” Krajnović stated.

Addressing the strategic challenges of the ICT industry in Europe, he underscored the importance of technological sovereignty, security and competitiveness, along with the need for strong investments in digital infrastructure, knowledge and partnerships. Krajnović highlighted that Ericsson Nikola Tesla responds to these challenges by developing secure digital infrastructure, maintaining a strong focus on software and artificial intelligence, and building one of the strongest R&D bases in Croatia.

The panel reaffirmed that the greatest value of digital investments is achieved by connecting infrastructure, industry and public systems, as well as through strong cooperation among industry, academia, startups and the public sector in building a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
