Interoperability of our EHE products in practice: IHE Connectathon and Xt EHR Projectathon 2026
April 14, 2026
We participated at the IHE Connectathon, the Xt EHR Projectathon, and the IHE Experience Days 2026 in Brussels. The focus of these events was the technical verification of the interoperability of our EHE (Electronic Healthcare Exchange) products and their readiness for the European Health Data Space (EHDS), which our team successfully completed.
Members of our eHealth team, Darko Blagojević, Ivan Drnasin, Marko Josić, Petra Kiš and Alen Livojević, took part in a series of activities.
During the IHE Connectathon, interoperability was validated in FHIR- and DICOM‑based workflows in heterogeneous environments, confirming that EHE products are interoperable by design and aligned with internationally accepted standards.
At the Xt EHR Projectathon, our team was the only one to successfully complete the simple, realistic, and imaging‑based EHDS workflows and was recognized by the organizers as one of the most successful participants. This event further emphasized the importance of practical testing of EHDS concepts in real, cross‑border scenarios.
EHDS-aligned interoperability enables secure access to clinical and imaging data across different systems and countries, creating the foundation for continuity of care and further development of telemedicine within the European Union.
Our EHE products are developed with a strong emphasis on standards‑based interoperability, compliance with EHDS and EEHRxF specifications and applicability within national and cross‑border healthcare infrastructures. We extend our gratitude to the entire team, especially Krešimir Kerš and Mirjana Kranjčić, for their coordination and project leadership, as well as to the entire IHE community for excellent cooperation and rich knowledge exchange throughout these events.
