ENT’s contribution to the development of national health information infrastructure – CEZIH
December 2, 2025
As a representative of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, the main supplier of the central part of the national health information system, Kerš provided participants with a comprehensive insight into the technological foundations and future development of CEZIH.
In his presentation, Kerš gave an overview of the key technologies, standards, and architectural principles applied in various phases of the system’s lifecycle. Special emphasis was placed on the advantages achieved by the modernized system after migration to the state cloud infrastructure, including greater reliability, scalability, and security.
Conference participants were also informed about the consistently high results CEZIH achieves in independent European evaluations of comparable eHealth systems, which further confirms the quality and stability of the solution developed and maintained by ENT.
In the final part of his presentation, Kerš outlined the vision for further development of the CEZIH system from Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s perspective. He highlighted the significant potential of artificial intelligence and advanced decision support systems, which can enable users—healthcare professionals and citizens—to use health data more efficiently and make faster, higher-quality decisions.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s participation in this conference once again confirmed our role as a strategic partner of the Republic of Croatia in the digital transformation of healthcare, as well as our commitment to developing solutions that contribute to a safer, faster, and interoperable healthcare system.
