A few days ago, the Zagreb office of Ericsson Nikola Tesla once again hosted two groups of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. These students are taking the Advanced Architectures of Telecommunication Networks and Embedded System Design (ESD) courses. Both groups are in their first year of master studies. The Advanced Architecture course brings together students from multiple study programmes, while the ESD course is part of the Computer Engineering programme.

Tomislav Grgić from the Customer Solutions and Services department explained to the students of the Advanced Architectures of Telecommunication Networks course how modern 5G networks function in actual production environments, building on the theoretical knowledge acquired in the course. After the introductory part, the students visited our modern 5G laboratory where our experts demonstrated practical examples of private 5G networks on state-of-the-art equipment.

ESD students were welcomed in the pleasant environment of the R&D Radio Department by a team of our colleagues, experienced experts specializing in various areas that the Radio Department works in. After the presentation and a brief discussion, the visit continued in the laboratory with radio equipment in which the students, along with additional theoretical explanations, had the opportunity to see concrete examples of signal measurements in practice.
