ENT researchers at the EuCAP international scientific conference
April 14, 2025
At the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), one of the largest conferences in the field of wireless communications recently held in Stockholm, ENT researchers, Assoc. Prof. Goran Molnar, PhD, and Marko Matijaščić, PhD, presented a scientific paper in the field of antenna array design.

This year, EuCAP gathered more than 1000 researchers from all over the world, who presented 1067 scientific papers. Researchers from Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s R&D, Assoc. Prof. Goran Molnar, PhD, and Marko Matijaščić, PhD, published and presented a scientific paper entitled Synthesis of flat-top antenna array radiation patterns based on pencil beam smoothing and element pattern compensation within the Advanced methods in antenna design and manufacturing section. This paper was subject to four international reviews, all with excellent ratings.
The conference was also attended by professors from the Department of Communication and Space Technologies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER); academician Prof. Zvonimir Šipuš, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Marko Bosiljevac, PhD, and Prof. Mladen Vučić, PhD, from the Department of Electronic Systems and Information Processing.
As part of the conference, our researchers also visited Ericsson’s exhibition stand, where the portfolio of 5G radio units and a potential 6G antenna array with 768 elements for future radio access networks were presented. The presentation of the 6G antenna system was led by R&D engineer Martin Jacob from Ericsson Antenna Technology, Germany. It was also an opportunity to visit Ericsson’s laboratory with three anechoic RF chambers for over-the-air (OTA) measurements in Kista. The visit was hosted by the head of laboratory measurements, Brett Horrocks, Senior Specialist OTA Chamber Technology, Radio R&D: RBS verification, who explained the standardized procedure for testing the quality of the radiation pattern of Ericsson radio base systems.
