After the successful completion of the first phase, Ericsson Nikola Tesla continues to participate in the new three-year implementation period of the EDIH Adria project with a clear goal: to accelerate the digital transformation of companies and public institutions, as well as put a stronger focus on the application of artificial intelligence and long-term sustainability of services.

The European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network is the driving force behind the digitalization of Europe. With the support of the European Commission and Member States, it offers and provides technological support to small and medium-sized enterprises and public sector organizations to make the EU’s 2030 Digital Decade goals a reality.

Along with ENT, the project is implemented by partners Step RI, the University of Rijeka, Velebit AI, Juraj Dobrila University in Pula, and the Rijeka Development Agency Porin d.o.o.

Support from assessment to implementation

The beneficiaries of this project are offered consulting support and guidance throughout the entire process of a new digitalization project, from the first expression of interest, through assessment and implementation of the solution, to monitoring the results and further development.

They are provided with digital maturity assessment services, training, assessment of applicability and readiness for working with data and artificial intelligence as well as structured workshops for defining digitalization projects. After this basis is set up, clear action plans are developed with defined steps, costs and a timeframe, along with support in finding appropriate sources of financing.

Special emphasis is placed on small and medium-sized enterprises, but also on public institutions that want to improve efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness through the application of modern technologies.

Pre-investment testing

One of the key elements of the project is the ability to test digital solutions before making investment decisions. In a controlled environment, the technical feasibility, functionality and business value of solutions, especially those based on artificial intelligence, are verified.

Focus on artificial intelligence

The project is specifically focused on the application of artificial intelligence in the health, transport, energy and sustainable development sectors. The goal is to enable organizations to leverage advanced artificial intelligence technologies, in particular the AI infrastructure offered by the European Union, to optimize processes, develop innovative services and make data-driven decisions.

Strengthening digital skills

The goal of educational programs offered to the beneficiaries of this project is to reduce digital transformation barriers by improving digital literacy, practical skills and applied knowledge among employees and stakeholders. Learning through work is encouraged and obstacles to introducing new technologies are removed thanks to customized training programs, practical workshops and mentoring.

Regional access point for digital transformation

In the new phase of the project, the operational framework of the work was confirmed and implementation priorities were defined, with an emphasis on the continuity and sustainability of services.

EDIH Adria continues to build a bridge between technology and business application, providing organizations with tools, training and expert support for a sustainable digital transformation.
