ENT confirms expertise in digital healthcare through the xShare project and HL7 meeting in Cologne
January 12, 2026
Experts from the eHealth department at Ericsson Nikola Tesla have been selected as experts within the xShare project, a European initiative promoting secure and standardized sharing of health data between hospitals and digital health systems. ENT was chosen based on the development and implementation of its own product EHE CDSS, through which Ericsson Nikola Tesla demonstrates its expertise in developing advanced clinical decision support systems.
xShare aims to enable interoperable sharing of health data across various categories, in accordance with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation and the standardized EEHRxF (European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format). One of the key innovations of the project is the xShare Yellow Button, which allows portal and app users to download or share their health data in the standardized EEHRxF format with a single click. This ensures that users have full control over their own data, while complying with GDPR regulations.
As recognition of the expertise and technological maturity of EHE CDSS, our expert Ivan Drnasin, PhD, from the eHealth department participated in the international HL7 Working Group Meeting in Cologne at the end of 2025, where he held a lecture on how ENT’s solutions utilize relevant standards for managing, sharing, and visualizing clinical knowledge. This professional gathering brings together leading European stakeholders to exchange knowledge and develop standards for sharing health data. At the meeting, Ivan Drnasin, PhD, especially highlighted the challenges of applying these standards in everyday practice, the impact of European medical device regulation (MDR) on systems supporting the creation of personalized treatment plans, and the importance of continuously collecting feedback and adapting solutions to the needs of healthcare professionals.
At the Cologne meeting, work officially began on sharing personalized health care plans (Care Plan). The working group focused on machine-readable clinical guidelines and interoperability within EHDS, aiming to improve continuity of care and empower patients with digital tools. Discussions included how to organize clinical knowledge and treatment guidelines, and how to ensure care plans are shared and accessible in hospitals across Europe.
Participation in the xShare project and the HL7 meeting confirms ENT’s expertise, strengthens the company’s position as a leader in digital health solutions, increases visibility among hospitals, industry partners, and regulators, and opens new opportunities for partnerships and projects. The EHDS regulation creates new market opportunities for solutions like EHE CDSS, as the standardization of personalized treatment plans enables safe and efficient data sharing between hospitals throughout Europe.
