ENT awards for the best student papers presented at FER Day

November 26, 2025

At this year's FER Day, Ericsson Nikola Tesla awarded three Awards for the best student papers in the field of information and communication technologies for the academic year 2024/2025. The awards were presented on behalf of our company by Siniša Krajnović, PhD, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

This year’s FER Day ceremony brought together numerous guests from the academic community, business and public institutions, with speeches that highlighted the exceptional importance of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) for the development of Croatian science, industry and innovation. It was pointed out that FER not only follows, but also creates global technological trends, and that its influence goes far beyond the borders of the campus, reaching into the economy, the research community and society as a whole.

Vedran Bilas, PhD, Dean of FER, pointed out that FER is the core of human resources and modern technological innovations, with students who are building modern Croatia.

We are aware that boundaries cannot be pushed by themselves. Someone needs to push them and invest energy to make them move. We are growing, not in terms of space, but in terms of numbers, types and impact of our projects, the interest of our students, as well as intellectually and professionally because this is the kind of organization and culture we foster. Let’s grow together, accept our ideas, incentives and energy, talk to us”, said Bilas.

Student awards, including those awarded by Ericsson Nikola Tesla, once again confirmed how important the connection between academia and industry is, and how the quality of student papers concretely contributes to the development of new technologies and solutions.

As a long-standing partner of FER, we are proud to contribute to the development of young professionals, encourage excellence, and continuously invest in projects and cooperations that shape the technological future of Croatia.

We are pleased to be part of this important ceremony again this year, which confirms the exceptional value of FER for the academic community, industry, and society.
