ENT at STEM faculties: inspiring lectures and opportunities for students
April 1, 2025

Last week, ENT held two guest lectures at relevant STEM faculties. The first one was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb as part of the Workshop on Embedded Systems (WES), organized for the ninth year in a row by FER and the student association EESTEC LC Zagreb. In a two-hour presentation, six of our colleagues (Magdalena, Mladen, Alan, Goran, Ivan and Lovro) from the Networks Radio department of our R&D explained the process of developing software for mobile networks around the world. The students found it extremely interesting to hear about the challenges and creative solutions that our colleagues face every day since the Q&A session lasted for 45 minutes! As part of WES, a series of lectures for students will be held during the next two weeks, culminating in a hackathon and a panel on the future of Embedded Systems in Croatia, which will be attended by Emina Filipović-Jurić, Network Development Manager in the Networks Radio department.
In the second lecture, this time at the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ), in the newly renovated campus in Borongaj, colleagues Ana and Tomislav told a similar, yet completely different story, adapted for TVZ students who are currently looking for student internships. More than 30 computer science students had no difficulty waking up before 8 a.m. to hear about the challenges and opportunities that await them at ENT.
