ENT at Job Fair: Technology that connects, firsthand

At this year’s Job Fair, which has been connecting students and leading technology companies for 18 years, Ericsson Nikola Tesla was once again presented as a key stakeholder in shaping the digital future. During the two days of the festival, through conversations and activities, we introduced FER students to what it’s like to work on real technological solutions that directly impact the daily lives of millions of users.

Students visited our booth, talked to ENT experts and learned more about career development opportunities in our company. The lecture that revealed what goes on “behind the scenes” of mobile connectivity, from streaming music and sharing location to making calls from the most remote parts of Croatia, was particularly interesting.

“A Day in the Life of Your Mobile Phone” was a lecture held by Tomislav Štefanec, Network Development Manager at ENT, who explained through simple, everyday examples how our teams develop software for key parts of the mobile network – Baseband and Traffic Control. He included his many years of experience into an understandable and inspiring presentation of the complexity of systems that enable stable and reliable communication.

By combining technical expertise and practical insights, the lecture highlighted the knowledge and dedication of ENT professionals who shape the technological future every day, not only in Croatia, but also on a global level. In addition to gaining insight into the development of mobile networks, students also got a clear picture of the company’s culture, values, and solutions that are not only technologically advanced but directly impact the way we live, work, learn, and communicate.
