EDIH Adria recognized among Europe’s most successful digital innovation hubs

A recent final evaluation of the first phase of the EDIH Adria project, in which Ericsson Nikola Tesla is one of the partners, ranked EDIH Adria among the most successful European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs).

EDIH Adria is one of the few European Digital Innovation Hubs from the first group of a total of 171 centers established across the European Union that completed all planned activities within the prescribed timeframe and allocated budget. At the same time, all key performance indicators were successfully achieved, positioning EDIH Adria as an example of good practice at the European level.  These results confirm the strength of cooperation among all consortium members, which, in addition to ENT, include the University of Rijeka, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Infobip, the Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka – STEP RI and the Rijeka Development Agency Porin.

Throughout the project, EDIH Adria services with a total value of EUR 2.65 million were utilized by more than one hundred companies and public sector organizations, as well as thousands of individual users. Their active participation and trust, earned through the quality of services delivered by the EDIH Adria teams, have played a key role in accelerating the digital transformation of Croatia’s economy and public sector.

Additional recognition of the project’s success came when EDIH Adria, at the invitation of the European Commission, was presented as an example of good practice at the ERA Structural Policy Workshop on Higher Education Institutions as Ecosystem Anchors, held in Brussels.

The second phase of the EDIH Adria project began at the start of 2026, under the coordination of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka. Active participation in this project is one of the ways in which Ericsson Nikola Tesla continues to contribute to the development of digital competencies, innovation and the digital transformation of the economy and society.
