At the annual conference of the Croatian Health Employers’ Association (UPUZ) in Opatija, which brings together key stakeholders in the Croatian healthcare system, Ericsson Nikola Tesla presented the latest upgrades to the national CEZIH system, highlighting their significance for the further digital transformation of Croatian healthcare.

Darko Gvozdanović, Head of eHealth at ENT, spoke about these upgrades on the panel Comprehensive Informatization of the Healthcare System. In his presentation, he explained that the implemented functionalities bring support for the latest eHealth standards and profiles and make CEZIH ready for the requirements of the next generation eHealth system brought by the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the European Health Data Space.

Speaking about the motivation of private healthcare institutions to connect to CEZIH, Gvozdanović emphasized that the connection enables access to a complete patient eHealth Record, faster and higher quality care and simple exchange of test results in real time without the need for insecure channels or physical delivery of documents.

His presentation further confirmed the key role of digitalization in the modernization of the healthcare system and Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s position as a leading technology partner in the development of advanced eHealth solutions.
