Ericsson Nikola Tesla hosted a special edition of the Back2Build Engineering Management Meetup, bringing together more than 160 participants from nearly 90 organizations. The event was moderated by Jelena Jelušić, co-founder of the Engineering Management Meetup.

The evening was dedicated to topics shaping today’s technology organizations: people development, leadership, organizational growth and the impact of artificial intelligence on the way engineering teams work.

On behalf of the host company, participants were welcomed by Siniša Krajnović, PhD, President of the Management Board of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, with a keynote presentation titled Building an Organization that Scales. Drawing on his extensive international experience and many years of work in the technology sector, he spoke about the challenges and opportunities of organizational growth, the importance of developing people and creating a culture capable of successfully responding to change.

The program continued with a presentation by Filip Grilec, Head of Network Development at Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s R&D Center. In his talk, Retrospective of a Millennial Engineering Manager, he shared personal insights from his career journey, from software engineer to manager of multiple development teams.

The central part of the evening was the panel discussion Leading Engineering Teams in the Era of AI Agents, featuring Jelena Jurišić, CTO of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla Group, Marko Brkljačić, COO and Member of the Management Board at Rimac Technology, and Damir Prusac, Vice President of Research Alliances at Infobip. The panelists discussed how artificial intelligence is transforming the way development teams operate, which new competencies are becoming essential and how leaders can successfully guide organizations through technological change.

The event once again confirmed the importance of exchanging experiences among experts from different companies and industries and highlighted the valuable contribution that communities such as the Engineering Management Meetup make to the development of the Croatian technology ecosystem.
