Challenges in e-Business at e-Biz 2014

The conference named e-biz 2014 was dedicated to preferable preconditions, experiences and protection in eBussines systems, such as trade, production, procurement, sales, health care and administration. Within the eHealth day, the Company Darko Gvozdanović and Mario Ravić presented the advantages of using eRecords and mHealth in monitoring the health status of chronic patients.
The discussions at e-biz 2014 conference that was dedicated to eBusiness covered the necessary elements, conditions, experiences, as well as the protection within eBusiness systems, such as trade, production, procurement, sales, heath care and administration. Within the eHealth day, the Company Darko Gvozdanović and Mario Ravić presented the advantages of using eRecords and mHealth in monitoring the health status of chronic patients.

The moderator at the introductory panel discussion on eHealth was Tatjana Prenđa Trupec, the new deputy head of the Croatian Health Insurance Fund. She presented the expected future steps in further informatization process. The high level of informatization in Croatia, realized through HNIS (CEZIH) will soon be additionally enhanced by the implementation of the central electronic medical record, i.e. eRecord. As regards eHealth development, Croatia made three great steps: ePrescription, eReferral and eOrdering. The next great step is extended reach of eReferral and ePrescription and the reception to hospitals. Darko Gvozdanović presented eRecord, which is an important element in upgrading of an even more successful system.

It is about 70 to 80 percent of a health care budget invested into chronic diseases, worldwide. Smart mobile technologies, development of sensor technologies and data management from various devices enable focusing to chronic patient monitoring out of medical institution.
Mario Ravić presented Ericsson solution in mobile health segment and highlighted that mHealth, enables to support patients out of medical institutions through organizing services such as visiting nurse or care at home. It is considered and important step in the transformation of the total system to become a patient oriented.
