We are seeking students to join our team as 5G/6G Embedded Software Developers, contributing to the development of the Radio Unit—an essential component of the Ericsson Radio System. 

This is a student job in the field of communication technologies for the fifth and sixth generation (5G/6G) radio access networks. The aim of the collaboration is to engage students in the company long-term, offering them the opportunity to develop their skills in this area. 

The student engagement begins with a series of lectures and the completion of simple practical tasks under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Students then join development teams where they participate in ongoing Ericsson projects related to the development of 5G/6G embedded radio base systems. The intensity of their work in the team depends on their availability and academic obligations.

What you’ll be doing: 

You’ll contribute to the design, development, and integration of embedded radio systems across a range of technical domains and platforms: 

  • Fields:
    • Real-time embedded systems 
    • Linux and system-on-chip (SoC) platforms 
    • Embedded software development 
    • Digital signal processing (DSP) 
    • Antenna arrays and RF electronics 
    • Computer and mobile network integration 
    • Secure coding practices 
    • Software build systems and automation 
    • Hardware/software co-verification 
  • Programming languages: C/C++, Java, Matlab 
  • Hardware description languages: VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog 
  • Hardware platforms: ARM, Zynq, Intel, ASIC 

We are looking for:   

  • Technical university student 
  • A desire and readiness for learning and research 
  • Openness in communication, motivation for collaboration and teamwork 
  • Good knowledge of the English language
