Digital Archival Information System for HALMED

The aim of this project, financed through the IPA 2009 Program of the European Union for Croatia, was to make the participation of the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) in the European medicines regulatory network as effective as possible.

In this project, Ericsson Nikola Tesla was responsible for the contract Digital Archival Information System of the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices.

The information and communication system that Ericsson Nikola Tesla implemented for HALMED through this 9-month project provides centralized access and better control over the documentation used in Agency’s everyday work. It also facilitates the exchange of information with other users and therefore contributes to improving the quality and efficiency of HALMED’s operations and the effective application of information and communication services within the European medicines regulatory network.

Today HALMED is recognized as a quality partner in the European regulatory network thanks to this project. Through this period, HALMED received the necessary support in preparation for functioning in the integrated European regulatory area and improved the quality and efficiency of its operations.
